Passover

Lefiticus 23:4 These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you (all God's people) are to proclaim at their appointed times. The Passover to the LORD begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of the same month begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD. For seven days you must eat unleavened bread.

Exodus 12
The Old  Covenant Prophecy

Passover reminds us of the Exodus when the Angel of death killed the first born of Egypt but passed over all the Israelite homes protected by the blood of their sacrificial lamb painted on their doorposts. The story is told in Exodus 12.

Passover Seder

Passover is celebrated with the seder meal and the chanting of the story of Exodus from the Haggadah. Ritual food and wine celebrate the coming of Elijah and the Messiah. The “Song of Songs” is read.

Yeshua, The Lamb of God
The New  Covenant Fulfillment

Isaiah 53:1-9 predicted that Messiah would be the final paschal sacrifice, the final sacrifice for sin. Messiah Jesus is the ultimate "Passover Lamb" in I Corinthians 5:6-7 (See also: John 1:29, 1:35-36, I Peter 1:18-19, and Revelation 5:6). John the Baptist proclaimed Him as the Lamb of God, that takes away the sin of the world!
